	Babbitt Bearing Project April thru November 2007 Due to a bearing running warm, 4449 was taken to Albany to have its #2 driver dropped for inspection.
	Break-ins & Theft September 2006 Thieves break in to steal tools, welding leads, and locomotive parts casting a dissapointing setback on restoration efforts.
	Roller Bearing Project April 2005 4449's booster trucks undergo an upgrade from friction bearings to roller bearings. This improves the ride quality, and reduces maintenance.

Trips Prior Year 2000

	Spirit of the West Special December 1988 Spirit of the West Shippers Special hosted a special run on the old SP Siskiyou Line between Eugene and Medford, Oregon.
	Disney's Tough Guys 1986 4449 is hijacked, rams a car on the tracks, and makes a run for Mexico -- They didn't realize the tracks ended there!

	Cruisin' Sherwood '08 June 14, 2008 SP 4449 will be making an appearance at this year's Cruisin' Sherwood! Come on out to see it and the crew members!
	ORHF's Holiday Express December 2007 A fundraising event for ORHF, 4449 pulled this year's Holiday Express on hourly excursions in SE Portland, bringing candy canes and steam to all!
	Puget Sound Steam May 2007 The SP 4449 and UP 844 double-headed for the first time on a public excursion in benefit of the Barriger Library and the ORHF!
	Albany to Brooklyn Special April 2007 After 4449's #2 driver was repaired, it steamed back to Brooklyn to get ready for the upcoming Puget Sound Steam Special.
	Deschutes River Steam September 2006 Northwest Rail Museum ran a special trip to Bend, Oregon via the Columbia River Gorge and Deschutes River Canyon.
	Holiday Express '05 December 2005 The SP 4449 participates in ORHF's first annual Holiday Express, which operated out of ORHF Station this year.
	Cruisin' Sherwood '05 June 2005 4449 made an appearance at Old Town Sherwood's annual Custom and Classic Car Show. Turned out to be a big hit, we went again!
	Montana By Steam II October 2004 The SP 4449 embarks on an amazing round-trip journey from Portland, OR to Billings, MT across the Montana Rockies!
	Oregon State Fair August 2002 and 2003 4449 attended the 2002 and 2003 Oregon State Fair, while wearing the American Freedom Train livery.
