Going to Sherwood to compete with Classic & Custom Cars!

SP 4449 will be going to Cruisin' Sherwood this year, an annual event where over 650 custom and classic cars are displayed, and have competitions.

You can view the locomotive up close and personal, and even look inside the cab where the Engineer and Fireman work! There will be no public rides, however, the crewmen will be on hand to show how the locomotive works and answer questions!

The locomotive's arrival and departure time is not known, the deadhead move is usually at the discretion of the railroads and other train traffic that take priority over others.

We hope to see you there, and learn more about the latest efforts to acquire and build a new home for Portland's three steam locomotives! Read about it at Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation.
SP 4449

Cruisin' Sherwood is held in the historic district of Sherwood, which has a railroad track running right down the middle of the action, and having the 4449 there seemed to fill in that missing void at the show!

For more information about exact time and location, sponsorships and activities, read more at Cruisin' Sherwood's official website!
